Why do you love Prison Fellowship?

Prison Fellowship is a special Christian ministry in that it is focused on sharing the Gospel message of Jesus Christ to the most despised and rejected group of people in our society. We do not excuse their actions and why they are serving time, but recognise that all of us are broken and need to hear the message of forgiveness in Jesus. Prison Fellowship has a great bunch of Christians to work with – the most dedicated and Gospel-focused ministry I know of. Volunteer focus with emphasis on getting the message directly to those inside makes Prison Fellowship unique.

How many years have you been on the Prison Fellowship board?

11 years on the board, 25 years total visiting prison with Prison Fellowship.

How have you seen God change someone’s life through Prison Fellowship?

I have seen personal examples of guys who have never heard the gospel find faith in Christ and been able to allow God’s power to change their life and not return to prison.

What would you say to someone thinking about supporting or volunteering with Prison Fellowship?

If you want to be challenged, sharing the gospel to the most rejected and lost people, Prison Fellowship is for you. If you want to work alongside passionate Christians who are dedicated to spreading the good news about faith in Jesus, Prison Fellowship is for you. If you want to work in an organisation that is built upon supporting and mobilising volunteers who want to share Jesus, Prison Fellowship is for you. If you want to make a difference in the life of someone who thinks there is no hope, Prison Fellowship is for you.
