Camp for Kids provides the children of inmates with the opportunity to spend time with other kids in similar situations as they hear about Jesus and have a lot of fun.
Whether it’s gathering for a week-long camp stay or heading out on a day excursion, Camp for Kids offers children and families a break from their normal situations as they build valuable connection with people who understand what they are going through.
Designed to be a time of encouragement, learning and laughs, the free week-long Camp for Kids helps children develop positive relationships with friends and mentors while they spend time learning about Jesus. Games and adventure activities teach kids important skills and help build resilience, while the safe space of the camp environment allows for honest conversations. For many children, Camp for Kids is the highlight of their year.
Centered around an activity like ice skating, bowling or a trip to the zoo, Day Camps similarly offer the families of inmates a day of fun alongside others in similar situations. Reminding them they are not alone, Day Camps enable children, parents and carers to experience joy amidst their challenges and build long-term friendships. Crucially, they also connect families to local churches for ongoing support and community.
