A Christmas Letter – Thomas’ heartfelt note from the inside

Hello, my name is Thomas*. I have been incarcerated since 2014. I’m writing to you today to express my gratitude for the Angel Tree Christmas gift service you provide for our children.

I have taken up your offer for many years now – even last Christmas I was able to organise a present through you from remote Queensland where I’m currently located.

Everyone I speak to on the outside says they are so time-poor. But to be able to have a little gift hand-delivered to my son at home with a message from his dad is simply wonderful!

There is not a lot of sympathy or empathy for us guys in prison. Nor is there much support from anywhere, either while you’re in prison or upon release. My son is now 14, and the Rebel voucher you gave him was a perfect gift.

I will continue to take up your kind offer until 2024, when I can finally go home. But for now, from the bottom of my heart, I just wanted to say thank you SO much for this truly wonderful service you provide.

Keep up the good work!

Peace be with you, and many thanks.

Thomas
